The International Used Oil Research Institute (IUORI)
The IUORI is an organization devoted to the highest standards and best management practices for the used oil recycling industry, both in the United States and around the world.
- To conduct regular surveys whereby the organization might gain insight into the industry’s needs and most common perceived problems
- To establish a worldwide public relations program for the IUORI
- Continue processing and end market research
- Provide a source of fundraising, grants, industry donations, and special project funding to the used oil industry
National Organization for Used Oil Recycling (NORA)
NORA, an association of responsible recyclers represents over 300 leading companies involved in responsibly recycling used oil and related materials that would otherwise negatively impact the environment. NORA members work every day to ensure that more than a billion gallons per year of used oil and related materials are collected, recycled and given another useful life. NORA has been defending and promoting the industry since 1985.
Partners for Environmental Progress (PEP)
PEP was founded on the guiding principle of promoting business growth while enhancing the environment and overall quality of life in the Mobile-Baldwin area. PEP works to bring together individuals and companies who share this vision. By combining our efforts, through community involvement, fact-sharing, and a conciliatory approach, we strive to promote both environmental stewardship and economic prosperity.

Environmental Protection Angency (EPA)
The EPA has primary responsibility for enforcing many of the environmental statutes and regulations of the United States. As such, the Agency is granted explicit enforcement authority in environmental statutes. Sometimes, however, that authority needs to be further refined or explained. In such cases, EPA may develop and implement policies and write guidance. In addition, EPA sometimes issues policy or guidance to encourage compliance with environmental requirements.
